In addition to his late night talk show appearances, Jo has been seen on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, BET’s Comic View and Showtime at the Apollo and appeared this year on the Ethnic Heroes of Comedy Tour. Jo began doing stand-up in 1996 at a comedy club in Vegas and soon moved from open mic night to one of the most requested comedians at comedy clubs and colleges. Jo brings his trademark high energy to the stage every time he performs. With his spot-on comedic timing and routines that leave audiences begging for more, Jo has quickly become the next big thing on the comedy scene.
Paul Varghese
“They say that most comedians were class clowns. Paul Varghese never was. However he was bullied and teased by them. So he decided to pursue stand-up comedy with the hope that he would one day run into his former tormentors at a comedy club and exact revenge. Join him on his journey. He was named by the Dallas Observer in 2007 as the “Best Stand-up Comic in Dallas.” Varghese has performed at the Vancouver Comedy Festival, Rooftop Comedy’s Aspen Comedy Festival, and the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. His TV credits include Telemundo 2’s “Loco Comedy Jam”, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and Comedy Central’s “Live At Gotham.”
KT Tatara
KT Tatara is on the fast track. What do you expect from a guy who graduated from college when he was 20? This kid moves so quickly, he doesn't even have time for vowels in his given name. Shortly after college he began pursuing stand up comedy and has quickly become one best young comedians today. His hip, creative comedy covers a wide range of topics that makes him likable to any audience. KT is also making a quick transition to acting, having recently co-starred on FX's new series 'Dirt' and ABC Family's 'Greek.' KT has also been a guest on various radio shows on both XM and Sirius Satellite radio and was a featured comic on Si TV, the AZN Network’s Asia Street Comedy, and Imaginasian TV’s Comedy Zen.
John Ki
Humour has always been a part John Ki's life. Recently John won the Q107 Derringer's Search for "The Funniest Person With A Day Job" with the grand prize of $10,000 and a trip to workshop with the famous and hilarious Eddie Brill (David Letterman's head writer) in New York City. Also, he recently won the Hogtown Comedy's "Ed Pollock New Talent Search" earning him a spot to perform on Yuk Yuk's Toronto Superclub's stage. Re-enforcing the idea that "Yes, some people do find him funny". John Ki is currently one of the fastest rising comics in Toronto and his unique, honest, story telling style of comedy has been the key to his success. John was the first person in his family ever to be born in Canada. Growing up in Welland, Ontario John learned that a good sense of humour went a long way when dealing with the tyranny of three older brothers and a city that never had an Asian family.
